Big freeze

It’s been a cold couple of weeks – down to -24C at times. We had no water for 8 days. Across Eastern Europe hundreds of people have died from the cold, and we’ve been sheltering around the wood fire and keeping the girls off school (school was closed for some days, but open for others. I guess to the folk who live in one room shacks, the idea of a warm classroom is more appealing than staying at home, but to us, making the trek across the village in frostbite winds wasn’t)

Amber went into her class by sledge this morning (here’s a little vid)

If you want to read more about how getting momentum is going to help us help the school, read about our projects here.
